Why support the festival?
The Morro Bay Harbor Festival Serves as a fundraiser for San Luis Obispo County nonprofit organizations. Substantial proceeds from the Morro Bay Harbor Festival generated by the admissions are shared with nonprofit groups who provide crews during festival weekend. Each group is reimbursed in proportion to the time the group donated. The Festival Volunteer program has been recognized on city, county and state levels for its collaborative approach to fund raising. Since 1987, the Festival Volunteer Program has awarded more than $410,000 to participating nonprofit groups.
